These two set Fremantle on fire when they went and got all signed up at Moore & Moore. Jeremiah is a US born, Melbourne living guy. Shona a Perth/Scottish lass so who is so close her family that they have done long distance for years before they both decided to live in Perth for good. And yay! Cause that means Perth gets to keep this spunky-ass couple.
Somehow these two got that perfect balance of laid back and heart-on-sleeve emotion. Even when Shona is a blubbering mess she still seems effortlessly cool. Hmmm. There is something about these Scottish ones… I can still hear the Father of The Bride’s speech ringing in my chest about Shona being his love, light, life and one and only Queenie. Seriously, it still draws tears to my eyes. I LOVE my dad to bits so when I see this father daughter relationship – I’m a gonner.
This quintessential Fremantle wedding started with a ‘first look’ gin at Bread in Common. They then had some smokin’ street wandering around Notre Dame and the heritage corners of High St. Their late ceremony was in the courtyard at the back of the Moore’s building.
First looks can really be a positive decision, especially if you have a late ceremony. Besides getting your photos done early and not taking away time from the part-a,. the opportunity to really enjoy seeing each other for the first time is enhanced by having TIME to soak it up and chat. It dispels some of the nerves but somehow does not take away the emotional power of the ‘walking down the aisle for reals’ moment.
I don’t mind one more little photo getaway when the couple are super relaxed, just to take advantage of the alcohol soaking in and the pretty evening light.
