Barrett Lane is off the beaten path in Perth’s Swan Valley. It’s a little gem amongst vineyards, olive & orange trees. I think it’s the perfect blank canvas for a wedding day because it’s already got the atmosphere sorted. Ideal for a wedding of up to 70 guests, just add the extra flourishes and bring your own drinks. This is one of the best BYO wedding venues in Perth.
When Emma said she was getting married here I was thrilled to shoot this gorgeous place again. You don’t need to leave as the grounds provide ample backdrops for photos which is great to keep the time between ceremony and reception short.
The couple have two very loved hounds that were suppose to stay at home for the day but Arran surprised Emma by arranging for them to be “groomsdogs” at the ceremony. I love her reaction!
The day was filled with laughs and tears (isn’t it always!) but there were extra special tears during the speeches. I love seeing mums get thanked really deeply for their strength and support to their children. A wedding day certainly is an opportunity to speak openly with your gratitude! As a photographer, it’s always an honour to hear people’s stories.
I’m still swooning at the dusty colour scheme of greys, browns and pinks against the soft muted textures of the venue as well as the two gorgeous key guests who were an absolute pleasure to photograph. These babes are so lucky in love!
Check it out.
