A wedding photographer’s wedding
You might think the pressure is truly ON when shooting another photographer’s wedding but, oddly, the opposite can happen! When a photographer chooses you then you know they actually 100% trust you. They love exactly what it is you do, and let you just “do you”. With Monica (aka Monica Defendi) I knew we both really valued the same things – specifically an honest reflection of the day, the mood of the moments and placing importance on family connections.
I literally forgot Monica was a photographer as she fully became a bride immersed in the celebrations with Ken. So that was awesome. Her day unfolded in front of my eyes with some serious emotions, angelic church light, frigging confetti bombs, tiered strudel and florals to-die-for… this girl had a vision that seriously came to LIFE in this beautiful merge of Italian and Chinese families. As Mon’s father said in his speech (translated!) “Despite their very different cultures, it is clear from today that they both speak the same language of love”.
And so naturally I’m here already to share some of my favourite shots cause I’m going to internally combust if I don’t!
This is just a sneak peek.
